Interns at the Law Office of Jason Tenenbaum, P.C. gain exposure to every stage of civil litigation — from initial case evaluation and client intake through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Unlike many internship programs that limit students to observation, we integrate interns into active case teams where their research and writing directly influence legal strategy. You will draft memoranda of law, prepare discovery responses, review medical records in personal injury cases, and analyze appellate decisions that shape no-fault insurance law across New York State.
Our firm's diverse practice areas provide a well-rounded educational experience. Interns working on personal injury matters learn to evaluate damages, coordinate with medical providers, and build compelling demand packages. Those assisting with employment discrimination cases study federal and state anti-discrimination statutes, draft administrative complaints, and research evolving case law. No-fault defense work exposes interns to the intersection of insurance regulation and litigation — an area where our firm has handled over 100,000 cases and secured more than 100 published court decisions.
Beyond legal research, interns develop professional skills that law school alone cannot teach. You will observe depositions, attend court conferences, and participate in case strategy meetings where experienced attorneys discuss real-time litigation decisions. We accept applications on a rolling basis for fall, spring, and summer terms. Positions are open to second- and third-year law students enrolled in ABA-accredited programs.
