No docs are showing up under those links, JT.
Sun, after you click once, you have to click on the link it brings you to. Sorry about the inconvenience. We are working on updating the blog and the website. Should have it all updated by the fall.
JT, when I click on the link, i get the message:
“Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”
No link shows up that I can hit. Could be an internet explorer issue, think I will set up firefox finally on my office PC.
Yes, you have to use firefox. Microsoft probably disapproved of my entry for some reason. Confirm you can down load with firefox.
I can also confirm Chrome provides the same error message. Can’t get Firefox running at work for some reason.
Could be an internal firewall issue here at my underground command bunker in the Cheyenne Mountains.
Here let me see…..
Nope, tried a completely new connection via wi-fi and still no go.
Will try with Firefox at home.
I have also failed this computer proficiency exam. Perhaps our friend in paradise, david, could post it on your behalf?
I thought about this and I think I fixed the problem. It was something really stupid – I should have known better. It will work now.
Sun – I accidentally deleted your comment where you said you are more of a geek than David and that the link is working. I also concur that you probably are more of a geek than David. Sorry Dave.
I also figured out how to get the link working. I would also add that you guys are bigger geeks than me in the realm of technology. I think I spend more quality time with westlaw than you guys.
Does anyone know how to get westlaw to work for their blackberry devices? I can’t get it to work. I also am starting to think that it might be time to move away from the blackberry. I hear good things about the Android.
Yea, I’m going Android when my contract is up in about 2 months. The new Android OS update, think it’s at 2.2 will give you Flash and pretty much all other aspects of the web unless it is the very new Verizon Driod X phone, which will not have flash for a few months for some strange reason.
However, have you tried the Westlaw blackberry app? See here: http://west.thomson.com/westlaw/advantage/access-options/westlaw-wireless/default.aspx
Great help in the court room, so I should not be telling you this.
The problem with Verizon is that they are the last hold outs of the CDMA/TDMA era. Everyone else is GSM. I think that is why it takes a little longer for Verizon to carry and adapt all of the newer “smart phones” that AT&T is able to adapt first. Also, that is why you have to purchase special phones from Verizon if you do any international traveling. Interestingly, you do not have to do that with AT&T. Parenthetically, I tend not to leave my office unless the bat-phone rings, so one of that is of much consequence to me.
I switched over to Verizon I think during law school, from Cellular One (later Cingular, now AT&T). I do not regret that move at all.
Thanks for assisting me in my courtroom research needs with that Westlaw link. It is appreciated.
Both of you are bigger nerds than me. Blackberry phones are terrible for viewing the interwebs. I’m amazed you have ten comments about an attachment, but not about the substance of the attachment. I put footnotes in my posts and get crickets.
Very close to SLAPP. If it backfires, it will backfire in a big way.
I am sick of Blackberries Dave. The worst part is going to be manually having to put my contacts into a new phone. As to the merits of the District Court action as and against the law firm defendants and the attorney personally, I cannot offer an opinion without more facts. What I can opine on is that it is not a black and white issue, and that this branch of the action may have merit. I would also say that I am not fond of the naming of the specific attorney personally, or some of the inflammatory adjectives I read in the pleadings. No need for going that far. But that is just my own predilection. The substance of the complaint along with the EUO transcripts attached to the complaint, leads me to think that we are looking at a rerun of the Carothers saga. We all know how that story turned out.
By the way – I will be adding those transcripts to the the Vista post.
The new phone, whichever one you choose, should be able to sync with outlook or your google contacts (if you use it). Or, you could bluetooth the contacts from your old phone to the new ones. There are plenty of ways to move contacts. You shouldn’t have to manually put in the numbers.
I agree as to the naming and the adjectives. When reason and arguments fail, personal attacks abound.
Dave, you are the nerd, I’m the geek. I was just messing with you last time.
But more to the point, I just responded to the “content” on your own forum. Should I have posted it here?
Actually, I don’t think JT would have allowed that given the nature of the post. In fact, it may go too far even for David.
I probably should have read it before I approved the comment. I don’t care where you comment, I was joking around. However, you are always welcome in my corner of the blogosphere.
